The first day went smooth. After a quick stop in Mt. Pleasant, we headed north and over the bridge. 20 mph for RVs due to high winds, but it wasn't too bad.
We stopped for dinner at our favorite rest stop along US 2. A very nice stop with great views of Lake Michigan.
We were hoping to make it to the western UP, but decided the Munising Tourist Park Campground would make a good first stop. We got set up in time to see the sunset too!
Tomorrow it's on through Duluth and hopefully North Dakota, where we know folks are dealing with some rough flooding conditions.
This is all about Roxane and Greg's trip to Alaska, and lots of places in between, from June to September. We hope our family and friends will follow along to share the sights and experiences. Enjoy!
